Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School at FRBC is for kids entering grades K-5. It is typically held the last week in July going into the first week of August, from Monday through Friday, 9am to 12noon. This program is free! We will have music, skits, lessons, games, crafts, and snacks.
Please check back in May when the 2026 Vacation Bible School program will be announced and registration will be open. At that time, you can register your kids by visiting this page!
What curriculum do we use?
All of our materials are written in-house! We do not purchase a VBS kit. Our curriculum was put together primarily by our senior pastor, Pastor Matt, and Michelle Griffith (a congregant and seasoned Sunday School teacher). However, many minds have had a hand in refining our teaching materials over the years. Whether we are teaching about David or Joseph, Moses or Paul, our gospel-centered lessons generally follow the same arc: creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. Our very talented volunteers then take the teaching points provided in the curriculum and use them as the foundation for all of the weeks’ crafts, games, music, decorations, and even the snacks!
But is it fun??
Absolutely. Being Christ-centered does not mean that we need to sacrifice the fun, and fun doesn’t need to exclude solid teaching! Every part of our program plays a supporting role to our goal of sharing the gospel with kids. But we believe that VBS is a week where we can focus on reaching kids in a way that is geared perfectly to our kids’ ages, ability levels, and interests. Which means that we engage them with singing and movement, chants and running, and of course – adults wearing ridiculous costumes. We believe that parents and kids alike will approve our VBS program. Come give us a try!
