Practical Christianity

“Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.” – Ps. 119:35

There will be just one adult course this fall, and it will be on the subject of “Practical Christianity” – how our faith should express itself in our day-to-day lives. The course will be “team taught” by the elders, similar to the course on “The Gospel and Contemporary Culture” that was taught in Spring 2021.
The plan is to handle a number of topics, such as
Hospitality
Family Devotions
Discipling
Friendship
Evangelism (3 weeks)
Time Management
Gifts for Service
Prayer
Fasting
Devotions
Financial Management
Comforting the Suffering
The goal will be to provide instruction that is grounded in the Bible (how does Scripture address this subject), but also very practical (what does that biblical instruction look like in our daily lives). The goal is NOT to weigh ourselves down with a new, improved (and really long) list of duties, but to see how Scripture offers life-giving guidance on who we are as Christians, what we do, and how we can delight in the Lord! Please pray for your elders as they prepare and offer this instruction, that it will be both challenging and sweet.

“Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life!” – Ps. 119:40

Starting Sep. 11th, join us at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday in the sanctuary, as we discuss how our faith should affect our daily lives.
