Ten Commandments Sunday School: Part III

Ten Commandments III Teaser

The series on the Ten Commandments began in the spring of 2014 with “Issues of Life and Death,” dealing with applications of the Sixth Commandment.  Last spring we looked at Commandments 1-4, focusing on aspects of loving God.  In this course we will be studying the remaining commandments (#5, 7-10), which expand on what it means to love one’s neighbor.  As in the previous segments of the course, we will look at the underlying principles behind the commandments, then discuss a variety of applications.  In the process we will consider questions relating to dealing with authority, including civil disobedience, church and state, and employer/employee relationships; matters of sexual ethics, including divorce, homosexuality, and pornography; questions of wealth, charity, and economic systems; lying, cheating, and Christian contentment.  Study with us ways in which Christians can live in the world in a way that bears witness to the grace of Christ in our lives.

Join us for this Sunday School class every Sunday at 9:45am in the Main Sanctuary.   This course begins on Sunday, January 10th and is taught by Pastor Bob Walton.
