Hebrews: Looking to Jesus

Where do you look when faced with temptations, with trials, with persecutions? What do you trust when your confidence is shaken? The early Christians faced regular trials, including persecution, for their faith. They were under pressure from family, from friends, from the world to abandon Christianity, to give their attention and hope to other things, to trust other things besides Christ. The book of Hebrews tells us to look to Jesus (12:2) and nothing else. He is infinitely greater than any other option and he is enough. He is the only and sufficient Mediator between God and man, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
