Savoring the Word

“They are not just idol words for you—they are your life.” Deuteronomy 32:47

Do you struggle to relish in the Word of God? Are you excited to read it? Do you read it at all? Is reading the Bible simply an academic exercise for you? Is your heart warmed and thrilled by the Scripture?

The Scriptures are meant to be our life and yet we wrestle with seeing, savoring, and experiencing its truth, power and application to life. The goal for this class will be to help us in thirsting more for the Word and in understanding its very real and potent application.

Class will consist of 3 sections:

  1. The Ultimate Goal of Reading the Bible—to see, savor, and be transformed
  2. The Supernatural Acts of Reading the Bible—we need spiritual help!
  3. The Natural Act of Reading the Bible Supernaturally— the use of our natural abilities in reading the Bible

We will be using John Piper’s Reading the Bible Supernaturally as our guide

Join us for this Sunday School class under Pastor Al Griffith every Sunday starting on Sunday, April 15, 2018.  We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall from 9:45-10:45am.
